Kathleen Balthrop Havener contributed to two books published by the ABA this summer. First, Kathleen’s article “Geronimo! –or How I Became a Sole Practitioner” was excerpted in the ABA GP/Solo/Small Firm Division’s e-book, free to members of the Division, and available on the Division’s website-www.americanbar.org/genpractice. You must sign in as a Division Member to download the book.
Kathleen also wrote a chapter in the ABA Commission on Women’s Book launched August 5, 2011 at the ABA Annual Meeting entitled “The Road to Independence.” The book is a collection of letters from women of all practicing generations who have started their own solo or women-owned firms. “The Road to Independence”—an ABA bestseller—is available on the ABA website at http://apps.americanbar.org/abastore/index.cfm?section=main&fm=Product.AddToCart&pid=4920046.
